Company Information:
The W.A School of Pathology (WASP) was awarded Training Accreditation status in 1998 and has continued to focus our attention on delivering the most comprehensive up to date training in Australia. The units of competency acquired by candidates during their training can be used to up skill or employment seeking prospects.
Our training is a great experience to consider. It provides the practical hands on skills required to perform specimen collections and the understanding of the medical terminology used in the industry; considering the legislative and professional standards required within the industry. All this is done using the current industry methodology and equipment.
For new candidates to the field, it gives a ‘taster’ of working in the industry, and many companies have employed students which have completed their studies through the WASP training.
We are very proud to state we have not compromised our Accreditation status during the past 20+ years and will continue to deliver the highest quality of training in the future.
We teach people of all backgrounds from university students and nurses to people with no medical background. We have taught many people the art of Blood and Specimen Collection/Phlebotomy.
In 2014 The company collaborated with one of W.A's biggest medical universities, again offering our Perth students the opportunities to be part of medical research programs, and contribute towards medical science studies, by using their venepuncture skills.
In 2016, we became the first Training Organisation to have a working collection clinic attached to our training rooms in Perth, W.A.
2018: R3GEN: Medical Research Lab, opened its doors and is the first research lab to be connected to a RTO school.
We are very pleased to be in collaboration with R3GEN and even more excited to be the first RTO school to have a medical lab attached to our Perth based training rooms.
The W.A School of Pathology will always be moving with the medical industry offering our students the finest training and opportunities.
